Xuropa Do “More With Less” Contest Official Rules
1. ELIGIBILITY: The Xuropa Do More With Less contest (the “contest”) is open to companies and individuals who are engaged in Electronic Design.
2. HOW TO ENTER: Create a text, audio, or video entry that describes your story or idea for how your company or other companies in the electronic design business can “do more with less”. Visit our entry page and fill out the online entry form. Within 24 hours you will be notified if your entry has been accepted and will be given further instructions on how to add your story to our site. All entries remain the sole property of the entrant however; we recommend that you license the work using the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike license (see http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/). Contest begins April 7, 2010, 12:00 am PDT. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. PDT, April 30 May 7, 2010. Enter as often as you like, but each entry must be unique.
3. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: All entries must meet the following guidelines:
- The entry should convey a way in which companies in the electronic design industry can “do more with less”.
- The entry must not violate the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- The entry must be in good taste and must not contain obscene or defamatory statements.
- Sponsor reserves the right to make determinations of suitability in its sole and absolute discretion.
4. POSTING OF ENTRIES: All eligible Contest entries shall be posted on the publicly accessible Contest web site.
5. JUDGING CRITERIA: Eligible entries will be judged on the basis of the viewer ratings, originality, creativity, and the depiction of the theme “Doing More With Less”. The decisions of the judges are final and may not be appealed. Sponsor reserves the right to change the voting or rating system at any time.
6. WINNER SELECTION/PRIZE AWARDING: On or about May 8, 2010, one (1) Grand Prize winner and three (3) First Prize winners shall be selected. The potential winners will be notified on or about May 10, 2009 via the email address provided in the entry form.
7. PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: One (1) free year of Xuropa On-Demand Basic Application Server and Collaboration Environment. Three (3) First Prizes: Two (2) free months of Xuropa On-Demand Basic Application Server and Collaboration Environment. Limit one prize per company.
8. WINNERS: Winners must begin installation and setup of their Application Server by May 31, 2010. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize to a runner up at the sponsors discretion. Winners must activate, install, and promote their software by June 18, 2010. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize to a runner up at the sponsors discretion. All winners must have commercially available software to be eligible to win.
9. GENERAL RULES: Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws apply. All income taxes resulting from acceptance of prize are the responsibility of winner. By entering contest, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of Judges, which shall be final in all matters. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate, suspend, cancel or modify the Contest if for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, fraud, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor.
